Members of the Business Professionals of America chapter at Carlsbad Intermediate School have been busy with community service projects throughout this school year. The chapter has accumulated a total of 274 hours of community service so far, with 24 members participating in various projects. Some of the projects include: hosting Red Ribbon Week at CIS, the Girl Scouts’ Thanksgiving Food Drive, the BPA Holiday Breakfast for teachers & staff at CIS, and hosting BPA’s Regional Leadership Conference for Region 5. Most recently, chapter members participated in Riverblitz 2017, a community-wide effort to clean up the river banks and the surrounding areas.
