The Carlsbad High School chapter of Business Professionals of America recently competed at the State Leadership Conference in Albuquerque. Nine members placed and have qualified for the National Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas which takes place in May.
The CHS students qualifying for nationals and how they placed at the state conference are as follows: Adrina Cisneros, 3rd, Interview Skills. Nevaeh Fierro, 1st, Human Resource Management & a $500 Scholarship to ENMU. Patricia Gonzalez, 1st, Medical Office Procedures. MJ Martinez, 3rd, Fundamental Word Processing Skills. Uriah Martinez, 3rd, Prepared Speech. Mimi Najera, 2nd, Advanced Interview Skills. Sol Olivas, 2nd, Medical Office Procedures and 3rd, Legal Office Procedures. Gabriel Sedillo, 2nd, Digital Publishing.
Rainey Trujillo, 1st, Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications.
At the National Leadership Conference, BPA members will attend workshops, hear nationally prominent speakers, elect national student officers, participate in general assemblies to conduct business of BPA & compete in their respective competitive events.
